TRANSPORTATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Oxnard has thousands of miles of public roads that create our main transportation network. Much of this is maintained through General Fund money and not the Measure O money that residents were promised. Because of the shrinking surplus of General Fund money, we have fallen behind on routine road repairs.
As a member of the public, I have been working on a Transportation Plan that would generate roughly $4 million dollars annually for transportation-related projects. This plan will maximize our resources to prioritize projects, increase safety for our families and communities, and encourage greater collaboration with the county and local government agencies.
Reorganize the city’s transportation department.
Establish operating permits for taxis, non-emergency vehicles, limousines, and other passenger transportation services.
Place a restriction on transportation funds.
